2008: Another year down! We chose the theme "Sneak Peek at the North Pole" this year and it turned out fabulous! The gala event was held Friday, November 28 and our tree didn't even make it to the auction block! If you have attended the gala in the past you may remember the evening begins with 100 tickets being sold for $100 each. Before the live auction starts ONE winning ticket is chosen and that winner gets their choice of ANY of the elaborately decorated trees in the room! This year ours was chosen! What an honor! The weekend raised $290,000 for the Skagit Valley Hospital Foundation Regional Cancer Care Campaign. This year's festival was particularly special because it marked the succesful end of the $4 million capital campaign! It is truly a community effort that makes this event such a success.
